Table 2.6 provides a sociodemographic breakdown of participants in each of the 10 activities. Finally, participants in each activity are profiled and compared to the Australian adult population on a wide range of sociodemographic characteristics. Households containing higher risk gamblers experienced a much larger proportion of stressful financial events than those containing non-problem gamblers. The other perspective shown here is the average expenditure among those who report spending on gambling overall, and on particular activities. This analysis also compares average spending across sociodemographic groups.
